Stefan Jackiw and Yoonah Kim perform Nathan's 2019 Double Concerto for solo violin, solo clarinet, and strings
The album centers around a never-before-released rendition of “Silentium,” the second movement of Pärt’s most famous concerto, Tabula Rasa, performed by Boston-based chamber orchestra A Far Cry. The group plays “Silentium” at nearly half the speed of the best-known version, released on ECM in 1984.
‘Ives Denk,’ out October 18, celebrates Ives' 150th anniversary and features the composer’s four violin sonatas, performed with Stefan Jackiw, as well as remastered versions of his Sonatas No. 1 and 2 for piano, from Denk’s 2010 debut recording, ‘Jeremy Denk Plays Ives.’
